Monday, Oct 31 2011 at 12:30 am - This is a stunning original 1883 chromolithograph with gold ink detail from a Japanese kakemono of a Butsu-ye or Buddhist picture. Shown here is Kokuzo Bosatsu, the Bodhisattva of Eternal Benevolence; on his right is the flame god Fudo; and the figure on the left is Bishamon, or Vaisravana, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Mount Sumeru and the Guardian of the North.
