Saturday, Mar 31 2012 at 4:48 pm - This is an original 1925 lithograph of the architectural design of a late XVIII century mantelpiece, a cornice from the Cook-Oliver House of Salem Massachusetts (circa 1804), and detailing from a mantelpiece from the Samuel Ruggles house of the early XIX century style as designed by the architect Charles Bulfinch. The Cook-Oliver house of Federal Street in Salem was the home of Henry Cook Oliver, who was at one time the Mayor of Salem and Lawrence. This man was also a musically talented ( Read more ... )
