Thursday, Dec 8 2011 at 4:55 pm - This is an original 1925 lithograph of an architectural wall design sample from the Ball Room of the Georgian-style Gadsby's Tavern in Old Town of Alexandria, Virginia, circa 1793. Gadsby's Tavern is a historical American landmark (which is currently a restaurant and museum) that was firstly a tavern business named Mason's Ordinary around 1750. It was later purchased by John Wise from Maryland and became the tavern building that it currently remains after the American Revolutionary War in 1782. ( Read more ... )
