1883 Japanese Fabric Design Obi Peony Chromolithograph - Original Chromolithograph
Thursday, Nov 3 2011 at 8:35 am - This is an original 1883 chromolithograph of a gorgeous Japanese fabric design for an obi, a sash or scarf worn about the waist with kimonos. The design consists of alternating groups of peonies and chrysanthemums highlighted with gold ink which, unfortunately, does not show up well in our digital capture, appearing dull brown.
