1883 Japanese Lacquer Box Cock Drum Chromolithograph - Original Chromolithograph
Tuesday, Nov 8 2011 at 9:58 am - This is an original 1883 chromolithograph of an unusual Japanese lacquered box made with gold and colored lacquer. Here a rooster, or cock, is perched upon a drum. The gold ink unfortunately, does not show up well in our digital capture, appearing dull brown. Our digital image does not do justice to the quality of this superb chromolithograph.
