This ancient bronze incense burner is from the Buddhist temple, Nishi Honganj, at Kyoto. Note the fine detail on this exquisite chromolithograph. Period Paper has obtained an exquisite collection of Japanese art prints and art plates (including color prints; halftone prints; heliogravures; and chromolithographs). Printed in 1883-1884 these prints and plates come from No. 231 of a limited edition printing of 500. ( Read more ... )
