Sunday, Nov 6 2011 at 6:26 pm - This is an original 1883 chromolithograph of five examples of Japanese lacquered box lids of various intricate designs with raised gold lacquer. The gold ink unfortunately, does not show up well in our digital capture, appearing dull brown. Therefore, we have provided another digital image which shows the gold ink better, and a close-up of the center box. Please see all images.
